also be interpreted as computer systems engineering is a special discipline that combines
electrical engineering and computer science. In the field of technology, the
computer industry contains several disciplines that require certain engineering
knowledge as well as create various ty
pes of computer engineering jobs. Typically, these jobs appear in systems,
networking, software, client services, research, academia, and computer
hardware.

engineering began in 1939 when John Vincent Atanasoff and Clifford Berry began
developing the world's first electronic digital computer through physics,
mathematics, and electrical engineering.

converted into a language according to the client's specifications.
Hardware Engineering focuses on developing computer
hardware that will better support the latest software performance guidelines.
These individuals also work in parallel with both the operating system and the
main productivity applications.

The work of computer hardware engineers is similar to that
of electronics engineers in that they may design and test circuits and other
electronic components; however, computer hardware engineers do that work only
as it relates to computers and computer-related equipment. The rapid advances
in computer technology are largely a result of the research, development, and
design efforts of these engineers.
Computational
science and Engineering
Computational Science and Engineering is a relatively new
discipline. According to the Sloan Career Cornerstone Center, individuals
working in this area, "computational methods are applied to formulate and
solve complex mathematical problems in engineering and the physical and the
social sciences. Examples include aircraft design, the plasma processing of
nanometer features on semiconductor wafers, VLSI circuit design, radar
detection systems, ion transport through biological channels, and much
more".
Computer
vision and robotics
In this specialty, computer engineers focus on developing
visual sensing technology to sense an environment, representation of an
environment, and manipulation of the environment. The gathered
three-dimensional information is then implemented to perform a variety of
tasks. These include, improved human modeling, image communication, and
human-computer interfaces, as well as devices such as special-purpose cameras
with versatile vision sensors.

Pengertian dan Tugas Computer Engineering
Pengertian computer engineering atau yang bisa juga
diartikan dengan teknik sistem komputer adalah suatu disiplin khusus yang
mengkombinasikan teknik elektro dan ilmu komputer. Dalam bidang teknologi,
industri komputer berisi beberapa disiplin ilmu yang membutuhkan pengetahuan
teknik tertentu serta keterampilan menciptakan berbagai jenis pekerjaan teknik
komputer. Pada umumnya, pekerjaan ini muncul pada bidang sistem, jaringan,
software, layanan klien, penelitian, akademisi, serta perangkat keras komputer.
Computer Engineering
Pekerjaan-pekerjaan teknik komputer dapat ditemukan di
setiap industri, termasuk spesialis dalam pemrograman, arsitektur jaringan,
penyebaran sistem, atau konfigurasi software aplikasi yang sangat khusus,
individu-individu yang aktif dengan industri kesehatan, pendidikan, hiburan,
keuangan, dan bisnis yang berorientasi layanan. Salah satu pekerjaan rekayasa
